Whitland Congregational Church
Prayer Page
Hello,
This is a new addition to our web site and we hope it is of benefit to you. We have included some prayers for you to read, with a brief explanation as to when they can be used. In addition, there is an article written by our Minister about prayer.

If you have any prayer requests, please either include them in our Guest Book, which is on the main page, or email the Minister. Some prayer requests will appear here, but rest assured that the Minister will offer your prayer during one of his services.

The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's Prayer is the model of prayer that Jesus taught us, as recorded in the gospels of Matthew and Luke.
This is the traditional version that we sing in our church
Our Father, who art in heaven,
  hallowed be thy name.
  Thy Kingdom come,
  thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
  And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
  but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and
  the glory.
  For ever and ever.
  Amen
This prayer is prayed daily by thousands of Christians, and can be seen both as a model for prayer, and as one to be repeated as part of our daily prayer.
